Hunter's Stepmom Comment

Apparently my sister Andrea was having some scheduling conflicts between a doctor appointment and a function at Hunter's school. She was commenting on how she was going to make it to everything on time and how difficult it would be for her to manage. Hunter piped up, "Mom, it's too bad we don't have a step mom!" I guess stepparents are common amongst his friends! He must not realize what has to happen for his family to get a step mom. I am assuming he thinks a step mom is more of an assistant to the real mom who steps in when needed. He is such a logical, analytical mind that it just blows me away.
