Today is a big deal at our house. Why? Connor finally agreed to try out his big boy bike he got for Christmas TWO YEARS AGO! He has adamantly refused to even try his bike and only would cruise around on his old squeaky tricycle. We begged and pleaded for him to move on to bigger and better things- all to no avail. It turns out that he was afraid of getting hurt if he fell off his bike. I wish he had told us this months ago, but ... Mom and Dad finally got a clue and showed him the "bike armor" they had purchased along with the bike. He was delighted to put on his gear and rode like the wind. Shawn and I were really proud- we knew he could do it if he just tried. The best part was he was proud and when it was over he officially gave Foster his tricycle. I guess we'll have to get another set of armor for "the Hurricane".
